U.S. and Mexico Relations: A Conversation with visiting Mexican Senator Armando Rios Piter
Armando Ríos Piter (born 21 February 1973) currently serves as Senator of the LXII Legislature of the Mexican Congress representing the state of Guerrero. He also served as Deputy during the LXI Legislature. Senator Rio Piter holds degrees in Law and Economics and attended graduate school at Georgetown and Harvard Universities. He is well known for speaking against President Trump's proposal to build a border wall and having Mexico pay for it. He has introduced legislation in the Mexican Congress to protect Mexicans abroad, and has called for a Mexican boycott of American corn to retaliate against President Trump's trade policies.Armando Ríos Piter (nacido en Tecpan de Galeana, Guerrero, 21 de febrero de 1973) es un abogado, economista y político mexicano , ha sido diputado federal y es el actual senador para el estado de Guerrero. Armando Ríos Piter es Licenciado en Derecho de la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México y Licenciado en Economía del Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México, tiene además una Maestría en Seguridad Nacional de la Universidad de Georgetown y una Maestría en Administración Pública de la Universidad de Harvard.
