DC Latino Caucus 2019 Board and Officer Elections

The DC Latino Caucus announces its annual meeting, Board election, and Officer elections on Thursday, February 28th, 2019, 6:30-8:30 PM at the Tenley-Friendship Neighborhood Library, 4450 Wisconsin Ave NW, TEN Lrg. Meeting Room.The Caucus serves as a channel for the participation and involvement of Latinos in civic engagement and political activities. Its Political Action Committee (PAC) promotes Latino involvement in the political process through voter registration, education projects, and endorsing and supporting Democratic candidates.Seven Board seats are up for election for a two year term. The Caucus is accepting nominations from the public. If interested in becoming a Board member, submit the following materials no later than February 22, 2019 at 5 PM to information@dclc.org:

  1. A statement of background and experience that would be brought to the Board
  2. A statement of what the candidate would like to contribute to the Board
  3. If previously a Board Member, a statement of Board contributions and accomplishments
  4. Biographic sketch
  5. The candidate's resume
  6. The candidate's photo

After the newly elected Board is seated, nominations will be taken from the floor for the offices of President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, and Communications Officer. Officer elections will be conducted by secret ballot, and any Board member is eligible to serve.The Caucus will conduct the elections in accordance with its Bylaws.
