Call For Elections of DC Latino Caucus Ex-Officio Female and Ex-Officio Male Representatives to the DC Democratic State Committee (DCDSC)

The DC Latino Caucus encourages all interested members to run to represent Latino interests before the DC Democratic Party (also known as DCDSC) in Washington DC. (Backgound information: DCSDC Constitution Constitution.pdf)

Online election is May 1, 2021.

To run for an Ex-Officio seat, you must meet the following requirements:

·       Be a member of the DC Latino Caucus PAC for at least 30 days prior to election. (Join or renew here: www.dclc.org/membership) Deadline to renew or become a member is April 1, 2021. (Remember that those who will vote for you must also renew or join DCLC.)

·       Be registered to vote in Washington DC.

·       Be a registered Democrat in Washington DC.

·       Actively reside in Washington DC and be a US Citizen of Latino background.

How to apply: 

Make your candidacy known no later than April 17, 2021. Send the following materials to information@dclc.org. On email subject write “Ex Officio Candidacy.”

  1. A short biography including background and experience relevant to the position (maximum 500 words).

  2. A paragraph (max. 500 words) stating why you want to be elected to serve as the Latino representative to the DC Democratic State Committee if elected. Note: Elected Ex Officio Representatives also serve on the DCLC board of directors [see our bylaws: DCLC Bylaws Revised January 2020 approved.pdf ]

  3. Your resume (maximum 3 pages) with home address and contact information.

  4. A head shot with clear resolution of 380x380 px for use on the DCLC website.

  5. Provide a copy of voter registration card or a printout from the DC Board of Elections (https://www.dcboe.org/Voters/Register-To-Vote/Check-Voter-Registration-Status)

Note: You must be a member 30 days prior to the election to be eligible to vote or to be elected.
